The story
Blacksheep
RUTH is the rock band led by Ruth Lorenzo, the voice the UK discovered with her Purple Rain on The X Factor 2008. Their debut album BLACKSHEEP was recorded live to analog tape at Real World Studios and mixed by Sylvia Massy (Tool, System of a Down, Johnny Cash). Behind her stand Sergio Bernal (ex-M-Clan), Nando Robles (Second), David Lozano and Ricardo Ruiz. Their first year on the road brought sold-out nights in Valencia and Murcia and a slot at Sonorama Ribera. And his first two television appearances went viral with the song Don’t Break My Heart.

Ruth Lorenzo first reached British living rooms in 2008, when her take on Purple Rain carried her to the final of The X Factor. Six years later she represented Spain at Eurovision. With RUTH, she turns fully to rock.
BLACKSHEEP, the band's debut album, was recorded live to analog tape at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios. It was produced by Ruth Lorenzo and Emilio Esteban, engineered by Rafa Sardina, mixed by Sylvia Massy and mastered by Alex Psaroudakis. Eleven songs in English, built on riffs, soul and a voice that never holds back.
The band is made of seasoned players: Sergio Bernal (ex-M-Clan) on drums, Nando Robles (founding member of Second) on bass, David Lozano on guitar and Ricardo Ruiz on keys.
2026 is RUTH's first year on the road: a Spanish tour with sold-out nights in Valencia and Murcia, and festival stages including Sonorama Ribera and Diosas Fest. An official Purple Rain EP follows in late 2026. Next stop: the UK and Europe.
